I believe Jesus came to show us the true nature of God and how it can inhabit a life and change the world around it. Jesus showed us demonstrations of what the inhabiting of the Spirit of God is like. He also said greater things would we do. After we witnessed His life ,death and resurrection He sent His Spirit to empower us to do likewise. This is a ruth many find difficult to accept and practice.
He became vulnerable like us and lived our earthly experience. He was obedient to His earthly parents while that served the will of God. When He became a man He obeyd only His heavenly Father, even unto death. He trusted the Father that whatever experience He was having it served a purpose unto heaven.
The purpose unto heaven seems to be more about conquering our inner man than the outer world. It is way more difficult to change the inside of a man whom God has given free will. Man always has had the choice to make the lesser choice for his life than the wondrous thing God has chosen for him. There was a reason the people of His time called it the way and not Christianity. It was about doing things God's way and not man's way. That is one reason Judas betrayed him. His way was rebellion and take over the government. He truly believed that if he forced Jesus hand He would rise up and do it Judas's way. You and I will never force God to act against His own plan, no matter how righteous we are in our own mind. God is not necessarily on the side of good causes even though He said to do good. You and I and our relationship with Him is so much more important to Him than any cause on earth. You and I and our hearts are HIs high value target.
